課程概述

In conjunction with the content of “ OT for Physical Disabilities”, “Therapeutic Skills & Practice”, “OT for Pediatrics” and “Psychiatry (B)”, students are given opportunities to observe clinical pictures of patients with different diagnosis, and administer professional evaluation procedures used in different situation, get acquainted with the clinical settings, modalities and evaluation procedures. All the students of the class will be divided into three groups and rotate through clinics for physical disabilities, for psychiatric population and for developmental disabilities and sensory-integrative dysfunction. 

課程目標
After the course finished, the students will be able to
1) establish therapeutic alliance with the clients.
2) define the diagnoses of the patients in each field of practice and the effect of these diagnosis on occupational performance.
3) choose appropriate evaluation tools according to client’s needs, contextual factors and psychometric properties of the evaluation tools.
4) follow safety and standardized procedures to administer evaluation commonly used in each field of practice based on specific frames of reference, including interview, observation, nonstandardized or standardized tests.
5) explain the results of the assessment based on proper theories or frames of reference in each field of practice.
6) understand the factors causing measurement errors.
 
課程要求
Student’s performance in each field including clinical practice and written reports will be averaged.
students who doesn’t show up in the practice without personally asking the absent leave in advance will get 0 grade at that session
